Situated on a hillslope, in undulating pasture, sheltered by higher ground to NE, E and SE and with a commanding view along the valley to N, S and W. Monument described as a circular-shaped flat-topped earthen mound (approx. diam. 15m) defined by a steep inner scarp, an intervening berm and an outer scarp. The inner scarp is not steep from SW-W, where it has been defaced and a modern fence running NW-SE intersects the base of the mound. An intervening berm (Wth 10-12m) encloses the base of the mound from W-N-E and which is cut across the SE sector by a later bank and trench running ENE-WSW. There is a low, steep outer scarp from W-N-E which is traceable from SSE-S-SSW. The top of the mound has the remains of a rectangular structure (WM025-001001-). There is no obvious trace a bailey, although there is a semi-circular scarp in the field adjacent to SW.
