What is recorded here

Situated on a slight rise, in gently undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Ringfort (WM024-090----) lies c. 150m to NW. Monument described in 1971 as a small circular-shaped area (dims. 26.7m N-S; 25.8m E-W) enclosed by a well preserved earthen bank and slight remains of an external fosse visible from SSW-W-N-SE. No entrance feature visible. A modern roadside wall which forms the townland boundary with Mosstown extends outside the bank from SE-S-SSW. The interior has a gentle ENE-facing slope and a boulder lies within the NW quadrant. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien. Date of upload: 21 August 2019
