Described in 1978 as following; ‘The stone has recently been uprooted & it now lies on its face inside the field fence. The overall length of the stone is approx. 2.95m. The original length above ground was approx. 2.05m. The overall width at the widest point was 1.3m. The stone stood on the western side of a gentle slope with fairly wide views in all directions. Nothing was found when the stone was uprooted’ (SMR File 02/05/1978). Stone described by N W English as measuring 2.1m high, 1.26m wide at ground level, 0.46m thick being greatest thickness at ground level (SMR File English Slide No. 254).
