What is recorded here

Two storey mill house depicted as 'Flour Mill' with mill pond to E on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map appears to be located on site of medieval mill depicted at this location on the 1659 Down Survey map of Ballymore parish and on the map of Rathconrath barony (NLI MS 723-4). No evidence to suggest that two storey house incorporates remains of mill building that is depicted on the 17th century Down Survey maps. Annotated as 'a mill' and depicted as a vertical-wheeled watermill on the 1659 Down Survey map of Ballymore parish. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 22 August 2014
