Folklore collected from Castlepollard School recorded the following details about St Mignas/Meehan's Well; 'St Meehans well is pointed out in Glon and the Saint's sister's well is in a stone quarry on the apex of a neighbouring hill chiselled in a solid rock and always full of water. Eaumas was the name of the sister and to the well is also attributed the cure of warts' (The Schools’ Collection, Volume 0721, Pages 220-1; https://www.duchas.ie/en/cbes/5009031/4979146).
