What is recorded here

Situated on SSW-facing slope, in pasture and overlooking a low-lying marshy area. Not depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map or the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map. Monument described in 1970 as no surface remains visible. A small mound had been noted to the immediate S of Huntingdon House (NMI). Sometime prior to 1967, gravel quarrying in the vicinity of this mound revealed a cist containing a crouched skeleton (Waddell 1970, 134). Monument is not visible on Digital Globe aerial photography. Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien. Date of upload: 05 July 2019
