Situated on a low rise, on a large ridge, in undulating pasture, with good views in all directions. Barrow (WM018-097----) lies c. 90m to S. Earthwork shown on Larkin’s 1808 Map of County Westmeath (NLI, MS 46,580). Not depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map or the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map. No surface remains visible. A modern house and yard lie c. 100m to SW, on the public road. Levelled ringfort visible as a roughly circular-shaped cropmark defined by a dark green area of differential growth on Digital Globe aerial photography.
