Situated on sloping ground in pasture with marshy valley to WNW. Ringfort (WM018-095----) and moated site (WM018-053----) c. 140m to S and c. 195m to WNW, respectively. Not depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map or the revised 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map.
Monument described in 1983 as the faint outline of a recently levelled circular-shaped area (diam. 30m) clearly visible in the field. There appears to have been a good deal of recent field fence clearance and land reclamation in the vicinity. Monument is visible as a roughly circular-shaped cropmark defined by a light brown-green area of differential growth on Digital Globe aerial photography.
