What is recorded here

Situated on the summit of an E-W ridge in gently undulating grassland with good views to WNW and N. Ringfort (WM012-195----) is 70m the SE. A sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 21m N-S; 23m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks and an intervening fosse. There is a wide intervening space (Wth 10m) or berm, widest at E, between the inner bank and fosse. The inner bank is poorly preserved, the fosse is shallow, and the outer bank of earth and stone is very low. There is a possible entrance gap (Wth 4.2m) through the inner bank, and a causeway across the fosse at NE. The interior slopes slightly to E. A possible rectangular hut site (WM012-194001-) is visible in the interior. Field fences intersect the perimeter of the monument at NW and SW. Monument placed on the Register of Historic Monuments on the 13/05/1986. See attached profile of monument surveyed and drawn by the ASI.
