Situated on a prominent rise in gently undulating grassland, with views restricted by surrounding land. The road which marks the townland boundary with Clonkill lies 80m to S. Ringfort (WM012-155----) lies 220m to NW, and earthwork (WM012-158---) lies 200m to NE. A raised sub-circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 31m NW-SE; 26m NE-SW) enclosed by a substantial earthen bank and a shallow external fosse best preserved from E-S-W, but visible all the way round. There is an entrance gap (Wth 1.2m) and causeway across the fosse at E. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running NNW-SSE across the interior, which slopes slightly to SE.
