Situated on NNE facing slope of a ridge with good views from NW to N. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a circular shaped earthwork annotated as ‘fort’. This site was levelled in the mid-1960s. All that remains is a raised circular area (approx. diam. 30m N-S; 26m E-W) defined by a scarp with traces of a fosse at S and WSW. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running NE-SW across the monument.
