Situated on SSE facing slope of a ridge, with good views to the W. The stream which marks the townland boundary with Garraree is less then 5m to the SE. Ringfort (WM012-141---) 140m to NE. A modern bungalow now stands on the site of the levelled earthwork as visible on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS Fair Plan map as an oval shaped earthwork annotated as ‘fort’. Described in 1970 as almost completely levelled and consisting of a sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 35m NW-SE 32m; 35m NE-SW) defined by a scarp sloping slightly to the SE.
