What is recorded here

Situated on E facing slope of rising ground in grassland, with views restricted by surrounding hills. Ringfort (WM012-124---) 125m to SW. A slightly raised circular shaped area (approx. diam. 24m NW-SE; 25m NE-SW) enclosed by a low earth and stone bank and a slight external fosse. The bank is best preserved along the W side of the site, and elsewhere it is fragmentary and reduced to a scarp in places. Stone facing is visible at E, W and NW. The external fosse is best preserved from ESE-W-WNW. There is an entrance gap (Wth 2m) and causeway across the fosse at ESE. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running E-W across the interior, which slopes appreciable from WSW-ENE. See attached profile of monument surveyed and drawn by the ASI.
