Situated on E facing slope of a natural rise in undulating grassland, with views restricted by surrounding higher ground. Ringfort (WM012-115----) 90m to N, unclassified castle (WM012-114---)120m to W. A raised circular-shaped area (approx. diam. 31m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by well preserved earthen bank and external fosse. The bank is substantial from SW-W-N and is almost reduced to a scarp elsewhere. The fosse is best preserved from SSW-W-NNW. The interior slopes gradually to the E. Post 1700 field fences intersect the perimeter of the monument at NW and NE (CUCAP AVO061).
