Situated on NW facing slope of low rise of ground, surrounded by gently undulating land, with good views of Lough Owel 350m to SW. Ringfort (WM012-099----) 250m to SW. A circular shaped area (approx. diam. 34m N-S; 35m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank and shallow external fosse, the interior of the fort is now reused as a farmyard. The bank survives from ESE-S-NNW, and the external fosse is visible from W-N. Farm buildings encroach on the perimeter at N and E. Not depicted as an antiquity on any edition of the OS 6-inch maps.
