Situated on the demesne lands of Clonhugh House located 870m to NW. On the S facing slope of a low rise of ground inside a tree plantation. A circular shaped area (approx. diam. 33m N-S) enclosed by two wide low banks of earth and stone with intervening fosse and external fosse. The interior is planted with trees. It appears that the outer bank and fosse were built when this site was converted into a tree ring in the post-1700 period. Possible that this earthwork was originally built as a landscape feature on the demesne lands of Clonhugh Lodge in the post-1700 period.
