Situated on low lying slightly uneven wet grassland, with views restricted by surrounding gently undulating land. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as an irregular-shaped enclosure and annotated as ‘fort’. Depicted on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as a sub-circular shaped earthwork located immediately N of a laneway leading to a farm building located W of earthwork. No surface remains of levelled earthwork. A sub-rectangular shaped area (approx. diam. 26.5m NW-SE; 39m NE-SW) enclosed by a cropmark of dark vegetation representing the levelled enclosing element.
