Situated on top of a small prominent natural ridge in grassland with extensive views from N-E-S. Castle (WM008-091----) 320m to S. A rectangular shaped area (approx. dims. 19m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks and intervening shallow fosse. The outer bank has been levelled by a roadway at E, and is only visible at S & W. A wide earthen bank curves from W-E at a distance of 12m from the enclosure on its N side, and a similar bank curves from W-SE at a distance of 24m from the enclosure on its S side. There are traces of a field system consisting of small rectangular enclosures 30m to SW of this bank. On a ridge 70m to the SW is an area of cultivation ridges running NW-SE and a possible rectangular house site (WM008-112----).
