What is recorded here

Situated on top of a prominent hillock in undulating reclaimed grassland with excellent views in all directions. Stream forming townland boundary with Stonestown located 70m to S. A raised oval shaped area (approx. diam. 32m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved bank of earth and stone. The bank has been dug away at NNW. The interior rises towards the centre, and has traces of cultivation ridges which run N-S. A post 1700 field boundary running E-W intersects the monument at W. A second post-1837 field fence intersects the monument along its S & SW sides, where it forms part of the perimeter of the site.
