Situated on a prominent natural rise in undulating grassland with good views in all directions. Ringfort (WM008-068----) 70m to NW. A slightly raised circular shaped area (diam. 29m N-S; 31m E-W) enclosed by two earthen banks and intervening fosse. The outer bank is only visible at N & W. There is an entrance gap (Wth 2.2m) at SE. The interior rises slightly towards the centre. There is a possible hut site visible as a slight depression to the S of the centre of the interior. The ground immediately outside the monument has been disturbed by quarrying. The 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map depicts a post-1700 lime-kiln built into SSE perimeter of the ringfort.
