Situated on the ENE face of a high ridge running WNW-ESE, with excellent views to the N & NE. Ringfort (WM008-052----) 200m to NE. Ringfort (WM008-050----) 190m to N. A field fence which is also the townland boundary with Collinstown skirts the E side of the monument. A sub-circular shaped area (approx. diam. 30.6m N-S; 33m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank and deep-flat-bottomed external fosse. The bank is fragmentary, and the fosse has been filled up from N-E where it has been intersected by a post-1700 field fence. There is an entrance gap (Wth 1.4m) at ENE. The interior slopes from W-E.
