What is recorded here

Situated in pasture-land. Lough Derravaragh 180m to NE. A sub-circular shaped enclosure (approx. diam. 49m N-S; 44m E-W) enclosed by a well preserved earthen bank from W-N-E the E, and almost completely levelled elsewhere. This is enclosed by a wide, deep flat-bottomed fosse, best preserved at N, has been quarried away from ESE-SE-S. Entrance gap (Wth 4m) at ENE. The interior slopes from WSW-ENE and has traces of cultivation ridges running WSW-ENE. A post-1700 field fence running NW-SE intersects the site from S-W.
