What is recorded here

Situated on a low rise of ground on poorly drained grassland. Ringfort (WM006-043----) 60m to SSE. Originally depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map, and later depicted as a D-shaped enclosure on the revised 1911 ed. OS 6-inch map. Present remains consist of a D-shaped area (approx. diam. 35m NE-SW; 34m NW-SE) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank mainly reduced to a scarp with traces of a wide shallow external fosse only visible from S-W-N. A post-1700 field fence and drain running NW-SE intersects the site at W. Traces of cultivation ridges are visible running NNE-SSW across the interior of the monument.
