Situated on the NW shore of Lough Derravaragh, 50m NW of where the Inny River enters the lake, in an area of exposed lake bed, now under trees. The Mesolithic shoreline of the lake was exposed after the Inny River was drained in the 1960s resulting in the lowering of the water level on Lough Derravaragh. A number of poor chert flakes were found on a number of low natural spits of high ground. Further in-shore the old shore line is apparent but no traces of other flint scatters were found (Mitchell 1972: Little 2014, 2).
