Situated on a small hillock in gently undulating poorly drained pasture-land, with wet ground to the NE. Ringfort (WM006-006---) 330m to W. A stream forming the townland boundary with Loughanstown Lower or Slievelahan located immediately to N. An oval area (approx. diam. 28m NE-SW; 26m NW-SE) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank, with a short stretch of an external earthen bank possibly of post-1700 appearance at the foot of the embankment at W. A gap (Wth 1.3m) in the inner bank at WSW may represent the entrance. A depression in the NE quadrant of the raised interior is probably due to modern disturbance. Monument now covered in scrub vegetation as visible on Digital Globe aerial photographs taken November 2011.
