What is recorded here

Situated on a slight natural rise surrounded by gently undulating pasture-land, with bog land c. 800m to the W and NW. Earthwork (WM005-001----) 190m to E. Ringfort (WM006-004----) 160m to NNW. Ringfort (WM006-005----) 190m NE. A sub-circular area (approx. diam. 31.5m N-S; 29m E- W) enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank with a possible entrance gap (Wth 3m) at ESE. The bank has been steepened from W-NW-N, where it forms part of the townland boundary with Windtown North. The slightly raised interior slopes from SW-NE and has vague traces of cultivation ridges which run NE-SW. A post-1700 field fence runs onto the perimeter of the site at SE. Site and field fence at SE has been levelled, and is now visible only as a faint crop mark on the Digital Globe Aerial Photograph taken November 2011.
