Situated on a natural rise of rock outcrop in low lying poor pasture with good views, bogland 330m to S. A stream skirts the base of the natural rise on which the site is located from SSW-W-N. Ringfort (WM005-015----) 80m to NNW. An oval-shaped raised area (diam. 27m NE-SW; c. 21m NW-SE) defined by a scarp with no trace of a bank or fosse. No entrance feature visible. The interior has been greatly disturbed by quarrying. There is a good deal of stone visible in the scarp and around the site which appears to be natural rock outcrop. Depicted as a quarry and not as an antiquity on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. Annotated as a 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. OS Fair Plan map. Visible as a circular shaped enclosure on Digital Globe aerial photographs taken November 2011. An old field bank running roughly NW-SE runs onto the scarp at E. The S & SW end of the ridge has also been quarried into.
