What is recorded here

Holy well depicted as 'Doaghfeighin' on the 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map. Delimited by a quadrangular setting of upright stones about 1m square and 1m high. The west side is formed from dry stone walling (Bradley et. al. 1985, 94). Large ash tree with votive offerings attached to branches of tree stands overhanging the edge of the holy well. According to local tradition delicate children were immersed in the water of the well in order to obtain a cure through the invocation of St. Feichin.
