Inscribed 17th century date stone inserted into external face of S wall of Castlepollard church (WM003-096----) located off centre to W. The stone plaque is located high up in the S wall of the church, E of the S doorway into the tower at the W end of the church. The inscription on the plaque reads ‘AT CASTLEPOLLARD THIS UNION CHURCH OF THE UNITED PARRISHES OF MAYNE RATHGRAFF LICKBKLA FFOYRAN OUR LADYS ST FECHINS FFAGHALSTOWNE AND KILLPATRIK WAS BUILT BY THE CARE AND INDUSTERY OF WALTER POLLARD ESQUIRE ANO DOMINI 1679’.
