The precise location of an early medieval horizontal mill in the townland of Ardnagross has not been precisely identified. In the 1960s during the Inny Drainage Scheme a small horizontal mill was found a short distance from the Inny in the townland of Ardnagross, and was inspected by Professor Seán Ó Riordáin and the timbers of the mill were sent to Belfast for Carbon Dating. The mill was located on the townland boundary with Foyran in close proximity to Balnacart Corn Mill (WM001-057----).
