What is recorded here

According to an article in the Bray People newspaper (Kennedy July 1980) some oak timbers were discovered during drainage works at Aghowle. The timbers, including the chute, were identified by Raghnall O’Floinn as being part of a horizontal mill. The precise location of the monument is unknown. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
