Situated on a gentle W-facing slope on the N edge of steep-sided ravine. Circular area (diam. 25.5m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-4m; H 1-1.4m) and an external fosse (Wth 1.5-1.8m; D 0.4-0.6m). No indication of an entrance. Possible collapsed souterrain (WI038-005----) in the interior to NE of centre. A triangular annexe (max. dims. 10m x 10m) is attached to the fort at the S and is truncated at the W by a field boundary. It is defined by an earthen bank (Wth 2m; H 0.5m) and an external fosse (Wth 1.5m; D 0.4m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
