This is the record for the burnt mound partially excavated by Ellen O’Carroll (E3225) during the N11 road improvement scheme. It comprised the eastern edge of a burnt spread, 2.5m by 2.5m and 0.15m in depth. The main portion of the burnt mound could be seen clearly over the road-take in the adjoining western field. The site probably dates to the Bronze Age. (O'Carroll 2009f)
