What is recorded here

This is the record for the burnt mound excavated by Red Tobin (E3236) on the N11 road improvement scheme. Associated with the burnt material was a large water-collection pit, and a series of stakeholes denoting the presence a small temporary shelter. Also associated with the feature was a scatter of 212 flint artefacts indicating a knapping floor. The site was dated by a series of radiocarbon dates to the late Neolithic/early Bronze Age.
