What is recorded here

O'Toole (1943, 25) describes a wooden trackway composed of upright stakes or posts with crossbars lying between them. Various other trackways, up to 1.2m wide, had also been found in the vicinity of a hut site (WI033-027001-). The precise location of this monument is unknown. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
