The OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 118) noted that there was 'part of a very extensive square fort on the Townland of Raheenmore. Portions of the east and west mounds remain, one hundred and nine yards of the former, fifty yards of the latter, one hundred and twenty yards asunder; the trench on the west side is about ten feet in depth.' Not yet located by ASI.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
