Situated on a marked E/NE-facing slope overlooking a stream (125m to the SE). The area is now in tillage. There is no trace of the church dedicated to St Winnoc (Price 1967, 443). Described in the OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 127) as a triangular enclosure (diam. 18.6m) with a well in NE angle, and part of a millstone or quern.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
