Situated on a gentle SSE-facing slope. A square enclosure (dims. 50.96m x 50.96m) described in the OS Letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 121-2) as being surrounded by a deep wide fosse and mound at S, W and N. A tower house (WI030-005----) stood at the SE angle. (Information D. Newman-Johnson) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
