Situated on a marked NE-facing slope overlooking the Avonbeg valley. Local tradition locates the 17th-century stronghold of Phelim McFeagh O'Byrne to this site. Not visible at ground level and no other supporting evidence. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
