Situated on the summit of a slight knoll with marked slopes to the S. Oval area (dims. 36.2m E-W; 33.5m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2m; H 1.25m) faced inside and out with drystone walling. There are gaps at the SE (Wth 2m), E (Wth 1.9m) and NW (Wth 2m). There is drystone walling of identical character on the attached field boundaries at the N, E, SE and W. No trace of a fosse or internal features. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
