Two fragments of one large granite stone found in the neighbourhood of Baltinglass (Macalister 1945, 53-4, no. 49) and bearing the remnants of the following inscription(s).
Fragment 1 (0.67m x 0.57m x 0.24m) : [ . . ? . . ]CCI MAQ[ . . ? . . ]
Fragment 2 (0.67m x 0.51m x 0.03m) : [ . . ? . .]INI[ . . ? . . ]
The stone was evidently deliberately broken up for use in wall building. The stones are in the National Museum of Ireland (see DU018-256----). (Grogan and Kilfeather 1997, no. 1005)
