What is recorded here

Situated on a gentle S/SE-facing slope on the upper W slopes of Baltinglass Hill. Circular area (diam. 17.5m) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 2-3m; H 1.5m). There is a marked drop immediately to the S of the site where a line of boulders appear to mark a revetting feature. No trace of internal features. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008
