A circular granite font (overall Wth 0.81m; H 0.39m) centrally placed 0.5m inside the E wall of Baltinglass Abbey (WI027-024001-). Described in 1906-8 (Fitzgerald, 411) as in rough, unfinished-looking condition. The circular basin (0.16m from outer edge) narrows slightly towards the base and has no water outlet (D 0.23m; Wth at base 0.45m; Wth at top 0.54m). The top of the font has a raised internal rim (Wth 0.09m) rising 0.045m above the outer edge.
