On a terrace at the base of a steep S-facing slope below the stone rampart of the hillfort on Brusselstown Hill (WI027-018----), within the larger Spinans Hill hillfort complex (WI027-078001- / WI021-080001-). An enclosure (diam. 18.6m N-S; 20.8m E-W) defined by a wall (Wth 1m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.68m) well defined at E with a possible entrance (Wth 2.5m) at W. The N edge is defined by the natural steeply sloping rock outcrop and natural boulders and a mountain spring runs into the enclosure from this point. A wall extends from the enclosure at S in a NE-SW direction. A hut site (WI027-019005-) lies 5.5m to the E. Compiled by: Mary Tunney and Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 November 2012
