What is recorded here

Recorded by the Urban Survey (Bradley and King 1989, 73) as ‘a Benedictine nunnery may have existed at Wicklow for a short time in the fifteenth century (Gwynn and Hadcock 1970, 325). Its site is unknown’. Date of upload: 22 October 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
