The field is known locally as the 'chapel field'. Chris Corlettt was told this by an elderly lady who is from the area, and he believes that this must be the church from which Kilmullin gets its name (Cill Moling). The field itself is featureless, except for a low, natural looking N-S ridge. The ground slopes gently north. Average grazing.
