What is recorded here

Four granite bullauns; two in the Glendasan River, one beside the river, and one outside the 'caretaker's house'. Located: at base of riverbank 3.3m W of another bullaun (WI023-006003-). Described by Healy (1972, 118) as a boulder measuring '1.1m x 1m x 0.4m. 1 basin diam. 0.3m x depth 0.15m. Beside river, west of mill. The basin is conical in section'. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 19 November 2012
