Erected against the inner face of the S wall of the chancel of St Mary's Church (WI023-003001-), where it is held in place by narrow, copper strap-tags. It has been erected 'up-side-down' from the way it's shown in Leask's drawing. Described by Leask (1950, 43) as the ‘lower portion of a slightly tapered slab, now 3 feet 10½ inches [1.17m] long by 2 feet 1½ inches [0.64m] wide. A two-line frame enclosing a two-line cross-potent with a square centre; the base of spirals curling upwards; the other extremities expanded into rectangles. It is in the chancel’.
