What is recorded here

Situated on level ground at the foot of a steep-sided ridge, with higher ground to the NW and NE. Circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m) apparently defined by a fosse, visible as cropmark on aerial photograph (CUCAP, BGN 24). Ploughed out 'a long time ago', according to local information. Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 December 2008
