Situated on level ground in gently undulating terrain. Circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m) defined by a fosse and truncated at the W by a field boundary, visible as a cropmark on aerial photograph (CUCAP, BDJ 88). The OS letters (O'Flanagan 1928, 81) refer to a large ringfort in the adjacent townland of Rathmore which could be this site or another in the next field to W (Rathmore, (WI019-022----). Not visible at ground level.
